XuanZang visited this monastery, which he termed Pi-lo-mo-lo about 640 CE. He found it in decline, with only one building in use with 100 monks in residence. The monastery was Hinayana, Sarvasti-vada sect. The monastery is identified with the current-day town of Bhinmal in district Jalor in Rajasthan, though no Buddhist remains have been found on this site.
