"…high in the mountains above the Lu clan's dominion in the Datong river valley. It is supposed to be the oldest monastery in the area. […] The small temple, Gada Si in Chinese, was dedicated to Manjushri, as is Wutai Shan." Reestablished as a Sakyapa monastery in 1246. Damaged in 1958. Vajrayana.
