This site has 15 caves and is located in the village of Shirwal, 48 km south of Poona (Maharashtra). There is an chaitya hall. All are in poor condition. The author speculates that there might have been 100 monks at the site, based on the number of cells.

The Shirwal site is a late Hinayana site, perhaps datable to the later half of the second century CE.
