"[s]ome time during the Tianbao period (742-756) Mazu left Fujian and moved west to Jiangxi. There he initially resided at Xili mountain in Fuzhou (located in the western part of Linchuan county), and later moved further south to Gonggong mountain in Qianzhou. Mazu arrived in Linchuan around 743 and stayed there at least 750. [he was accompanied there by ven.Daotong, ven.Chaoan and ven.Xitan - tmc]."
