"During Song Dynasty 宋 when Kaifeng 開封/Henan served as imperial capital, there was also the need for religious support for the inhabitants of the capital. The so-called Iron Pagoda (Tieta 鐵塔) of the state protected Youguo Monastery 祐國寺 is coated with brown colored tiles, giving the slim building its name. It is 56 m high and has eleven stories upon the basic entrance room."
